Alexander the Great was credited of building the biggest empire in the shortest amount of time. He founded Alexandria in 331 B.C. Therefore, everyone thinks that he was the first conquerer at Alexandria, Egypt. However, scientists have discovered evidence that wasn't the first on there. But in the past few years, scientists have found fragments of ceramics. A Ceramic is the art or technology of making objects of clay.
Christopher Bernhardt and his colleagues took samples of sediment cores that went back as 8,000 years ago. He also took samples of embedded ancient pollen grains that might have been from native plants. Additionally, they studied levels of microscopic charcoal, that may indicate human fires.
However, Christopher read the book of Homer, the Odessey, the 4th book. It mentioned that a one day sail from the coast of the Nile, to the Island of the Pharohs. It suggests that there might have been a settlement there. Long before Alexander the Great had arrived at Alexandria. On the other hand, there are still questions if Alexander the Great wasn't the first one at Alxandria, or was.

Class Response
My group and I finished a lab about Mass, Volume and Density. Our goal for this lab, was to pour the most dense substance to the bottom and the less dence substance at the top.We used the triple beam balance to find the mass of the solid we were testing. Substances C,D,E,F and G were available. We first wrote down that the Volume for each is 15 mL. Then, we tested substance D. We found the mass and calculated the Density. Again, we did the same with substance G. Next, we looked at which substance was more dense, therefore, we poured substance G into the cup. Again and again with the rest of the substances we finally came with the order, G,C,D,F and G. In conclusion, this lab we have completed helped us to learn more about Mass, Volume and Density.

"First Rocky World Found Outside Our Solar System"

Scientists have discovered a rocky world that was found around another star in February 2009. The planet was called CoRot-7b. Astronomers say that this planet has the density similar to Earth. However, this exoplanet is extremely close to its star. Closer than Mercury to our sun. This planets temperature is burning hot, over 2,000 degrees fahrenheit with it facing its star. It is not possible for this planet to have liquid water. Its star is slightly smaller and cooler than our sun.
Finding a rock exoplanet like CoRot-7b, can let scientists find a planet similar to Earth. If astronomers find a twin-Earth, that can help us find life. Since CoRot-7b was a very promising sign that can help us in the future. Astronomers are trying to find another planet so humans can also live on there.
This has ben a new discovery for mankind. However, my opinion is that pace is a very interesting to me, and discoveries like this make me even more interested.
